We invite you to share in our efforts to change the lives of the less fortunate in Africa. Through socioeconomic health and educational projects, we strive to overcome the inequity in this world.
In the past six years, we have worked in Equator, Cameroon, Togo, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda where we are currently starting new projects. To learn how you can help, check out our 2016 Projects.
GO BEYOND THE CROSS helps people in need around the world.
Through our work, we help feed, heal, educate and most importantly, bring hope and love to those who need it the most. Our principles are guided by the Bible and specifically by; Matthew 25:40
“I tell you the truth, what ever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”.
We report on this web site, our efforts in order to motivate our members and readers to act in their own way to better this world. We will update you directly from the mission field so that you may witness how, with your support God is changing lives. We welcome comments and suggestions.
The Lord supplies us with resources we need to fulfill our commitments through your contributions and partnerships with other organizations. We are accountable to Him and to you, our donors and sponsors. We are governed by a Board of Directors and our Board meets to approve budgets and review operational results.
Witnessing poverty and showing it to the world is not enough. We work very hard at collecting funds, and even harder at using them to get results; at the Gisenyi hospital we assist an average of 35 patients/month. We have purchased over 600 medical coverage cards/year, provided $250K in medical equipment & supplies to the hospital, housed over 60 people and created income generating activities for them. Our work in the field of HIV/AIDS has helped us detect positive cases and educate thousands. Our SGBV efforts have rehabilitated and assisted many women and children and our palliative and burial program has helped an average of 120 people through their last days on earth.
Living In the Field
We live where we work amidst the population we serve. We do not send locals in the field to write reports, we go and work in the field, we write our own reports. By being on site, we know how your money is being spent, we know the people we support on an individual basis. We do not give funds directly to the hospitals and the health centers, but purchase equipment ourselves to ensure that the funds are used appropriately. Good management means more impact on the population we serve.
Loving God. Loving People.
